The Lucid brand has seen a lot of ups and downs throughout its history. After a series of financial setbacks, the California-based electric vehicle manufacturer has finally released the much-anticipated Lucid Air. The Lucid Air is a high-performance electric car that outperforms the competition in terms of pure performance and looks beautiful as well. However, the waiting list has grown excruciatingly lengthy, and the Lucid Air has already seen its first recall. Bring A Trailer has just listed an unique 2022 Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance for sale on its website, and with three days remaining on the clock, the current bid stands at a cool $150,000.
The Dream Edition was the first to sell out when Lucid began rolling cars off the assembly line, and the Lucid waiting list is currently full, making this model doubly valuable, and the Dream Edition Performance even more so. In December 2021, this vehicle was delivered new to Lucid Group USA in Scottsdale and subsequently sold to a Florida-based selling dealer. Exterior features include Platinum Polish trim, a glass canopy top with sunlight-blocking technology, soft-close doors, and LED adaptive headlights with automatic high beams on this Infinite Black automobile. The 265/35 Pirelli P Zero Elect tires are wrapped around a set of 21-inch forged Aero Dream wheels with machined spokes.
The Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance's cabin is equally luxurious. The Dream-Santa Monica interior offers gray Nappa leather and beige cloth front seats, gray microsuede, and silvered eucalyptus wood trim, as well as heated, ventilated, and massaging rear seats. Wireless smartphone charging, a 34-inch Glass Cockpit display panel, quad-zone climate management, and a Surreal Sound system with wireless smartphone charging are all included as standard equipment. A surround-camera system, automatic parking, and all the technology required for semi-autonomous driving are among the driver aid features. Dual permanent-magnet electric motors and a 118-kilowatt-hour battery pack provide 1,111 horsepower behind those sculpted body panels. A single-speed transmission sends power to all four wheels.
The odometer reads 114 miles, with a total MSRP of $170,500 on the window sticker. This Lucid Air is still a steal at $150,000, but we're confident the it will rise in the coming days.
